RFQ Details

UV chamber is required to determine the resistance of photovoltaic modules against
UV-Radiation, according to the standards IEC 61215:2016 and IEC 61215-2:2021. The
design of the radiation concept addresses the specific requirements of the test

procedures as explained in paragraph MQT 10 „UV Preconditioning Test“ and MST54
“UV Test”. For the generation of the UV light we use special UV tubes which generate a
solar spectrum a spectrum in accordance with IEC 61215. Technical specifications of
the UV radiation system are as follows:
Inhomogeneity of irradiance: Better 15%
Radiation Intensity: The radiation Intensity within a wavelength range of 280 nm up to
400 nm does not exceed 250 W/m² (maximum 5-times of the natural solar UV
intensity)
Spectral Distribution: No significant Intensities < 280 nm
Radiation (Dosage): During the Tests the PV module shall receive the following
radiation dosage; 15 kWh/m² within 280-400 nm; minimum 3-10% within 280-320 nm
(UVB)
Available Test Areas: Two Modules: 2 x 2600 x 1400 mm
