Our company quoted building a tool 2 weeks ago and our price was $32,000 when the China price came in they were only $4,000 less (this was specifying that they use the same quality components as us). By the time you add on shipping you jump another $2,000-$3,000. In addition to the shipping you have time delays in communication, proper communication, hoping they do everything correct, shipping time, etc, etc... The inherent costs are ridiculous. Companies do not consider this, they simply look at mold cost to mold cost. It doesn't make sense and I am glad that some are finally figuring that out.

As to the Chinese partners ,yes,most of the American firms have parter firms in China, while as you said ,the partner cost will be increased much especially,because both of them are growing at the same time ,so the American firms will turn to the new parters,that's why they will get so many introduction emails every day.
