All of our IP*5 LED Downlight can take the standard halogen lamps or the newer more energy efficient LED lamps. It is important if you need your waterproof LED Downlight to be dimmable, you will need to buy dimmable lamps as it is the lamps that dim not the downlights. All our LED Downlight are compatible with both dimmable and non-dimmable lamps. 

IP*5 bathroom downlights are becoming more and more popular as an unobtrusive way of lighting a bathroom and also being used for outdoor soffit lights. They are flexible, easy to install and are available in a variety of finishes to complement the rest of your bathroom and outside the home.

To achieve the IP rating, they have a glass front and are sealed with a gasket where they meet the ceiling. In addition, the lamp is held inside the fitting away from the glass. This prevents the cover getting hot and then shattering if water were to be sprayed on it. IP*5 downlights can be used in every area of the bathroom including directly above a shower cubicle or bath.
