*-decen**-one was already approved as a food additive and has just received US registration as a sprout suppressant in February ***3. It is exempted from an MRL (Maximum Residue Level) in the USA. *-decen**-one is a volatile, oily liquid and is likely to be applied by contractor as a hot-fog.

*-decen**-one is a biochemical pesticide active ingredient intended for postharvest use on stored potatoes as a sprout inhibitor. *-decen**-one is a naturally occurring biochemical substance that functions as a plant growth regulator, affecting plant growth by increasing tuber respiration. The use of *-decen**-one as a potato sprout inhibitor is not expected to cause any unreasonable adverse effects to human health or the environment
