Description
DSMs Somos GP Plus ****2 is a low-viscosity liquid photopolymer that
produces water-resistant, durable and accurate three-dimensional parts.
Somos GP Plus ****2 has a white, opaque appearance with performance
that mirrors production plastics like ABS and PBT.
Applications
Somos GP Plus ****2 is ideal for many applications in the automotive,
aerospace and consumer product industries. Somos GP Plus ****2 is
successful in creating functional prototypes, humidity / water-resistant
concept models, and durable low volume production parts.
 
Description
Somos NeXt is an extremely durable stereolithography (SL) resin that produces
very accurate parts with high feature detail. Based on the Somos DMX
technology, Somos NeXt is a next generation of material that facilitates the
production of tough, complex parts with improved moisture resistance and
greater thermal properties.
Applications
Somos NeXt produces parts that are much more resistant to breakage than parts
made with standard SL resins. It is ideal for use in functional testing applications
as well as low-volume manufacturing applications where toughness is required.
Market segments include aerospace, automotive, medical, consumer products
and electronics.
This resin is ideal for functional end-use performance prototypes such as: snapfit
designs, impellers, duct work, connectors and electronic covers, automotive
housings and dashboard assemblies, packaging and sporting goods.
 
Description
DSMs Somos WaterShed XC ****2 is a low viscosity liquid photopolymer
that produces strong, tough, water-resistant, ABS-like parts. Most
importantly, parts created with Somos WaterShed XC ****2 are nearly
colorless, and look more like true, clear engineered plastic.
In addition, Somos WaterShed XC ****2 has been formulated with the
Somos Oxetane Advantage™— an advanced chemistry platform that
produces parts with outstanding water resistance and high dimensional
stability.
Applications
This ABS-like photopolymer is used in solid imaging processes, like
stereolithography, to build three-dimensional parts. Somos WaterShed
XC ****2 offers many properties that mimic traditional engineering plastics,
including ABS and PBT. This makes the material ideal for many applications
in the automotive, medical and consumer electronic markets and include
lenses, packaging, water flow analysis, RTV patterns, durable concept
models, wind tunnel testing and investment casting patterns.
