1^st Generation: Preset the angle in the control lever, through the change of angle between the control lever and the adjustment lever in the process of braking, the automatic slack adjuster will adjust the clearance in brake assembly automatically, and keep the clearance between the brake lining and the brake drum in a normal range. It improves the braking performance, increases the driving safety, meanwhile, reduces maintenance cost.
 
2^nd Generation: No need preset the angle in the control lever any more. The advantages are as follows.

1. Good commonality: No limitation of the angle when installing the control lever, so one type automatic slack adjuster can be used in several axles unless the other installation sizes are the same.
2. This new structure makes installation and maintenance more convenient, the quality issues because of wrong installation or maintenance decreases.
