Barfield DPS**0 Pitot Static Test Set
The Barfield DPS**0 Air Data Tester is a unit based on a
microprocessor using the most recent in transducer technology. The
DPS**0 works the same to Barfield's ***1 series testers but the
transducer technology used is almost invulnerable to the expensive
repairs normally experienced by analog instruments. Software having
a programmable defense limit characteristic has been integrated
into the DPS**0 to insulate the aircraft instruments from damage
resulting from negative airspeed and over pressurization situation.
Defense limit is given by computer actuated solenoid valves that
defend aircraft altitude, airspeed, rate of climb/decent and mach
instruments.
