Bitter kola also known as Garcina kola is found mostly in Western Africa, it has a lot of medicinal properties, it is mostly chewed  and has been used to fight infection and common cold, cough, hepatitis and many diseases. It is also used to fight inflammatory diseases like arthritis and other knee diseases . The FDA generally considers bitter kola safe to use but classifies it similarly to essential oil.
