Handmade by traditional methods in West Africa, some people ask - what exactly is Black Soap? Well, black soap isn't actually "black" in colour. Real black soap is more brownish, and high humidity area, absorb moisture from the air and becomes a dark chocolatey colour. It has a distinctive smelland does not contain perfume or chemicals. As it is not chemically hardened, it is soft, pliable and melts easily in even a small amount of water.



For centuries, West Africans have used Black Soap to help relieve acne, oily skin, clear blemishes and various other skin issues. African Black soap has also been used to  achieve beautiful skin. Africans have also used this natural soap for  bathing and washing their hair. Great for removing make-up. Black Soap will leave your skin soft, clear and smelling delicious. This soap is not scented or fragranced with artificial perfumes. It just smells natural and pure like natural ash.  We can add essential oil in the liquid soap, for customers who wish a more floral aroma.
