It is a device which is set up between the nozzle and the fuel dispenser to reduce fuel leakage and stop fuel flowing within a range of specified conditions and specified tension. During fueling, if the force acting on the fuel conveying hose (F) meets such a condition as ***0N≤F≤***0N (*5%***0% of **0lb, for a 3/4” breakaway coupling), or ***0N≤F≤***0N (*5%***0% of **0lb, for a 1” breakaway coupling), the breakaway coupling will break away from the hose automatically in order to prevent the fuel dispenser from being pull down, and to prevent fuel leakage by cutting off fuel at both ends of the hose.
