Carburant is mainly used in steelmaking and cast iron , and also in some other materials, such as brake pads with additive as friction material. It belongs to outside added steelmaking, iron carbon materials. High quality carburizing agent is essential auxiliary additives for the production of  high quality steel. 

There are many kinds of raw materials ofcarburizing agent, production processes are different. There are wood carbon, carbon coal, coke, graphite, etc., in which among them there are a lot of smaller species. High quality carburizing agent generally refers to graphite carburant.Under the condition of high temperature , carbon atoms arranged in graphite morphology, so called graphitization. The graphitization can reduce the content of impurity in carburizing agent, improve the  carbon content in carburizing agent, reduce sulfur content.
Applications  Being used during casting,carburizing agentcan greatly increase the amount of steel scrap applied , and reduce or even without pig iron.

1. The particle size is moderate, the porosity is large, the absorption speed is fast.
2.Burning  petroleum coke at high temperature. The chemical component is pure. High carbon, low sulfur, extremely few of harmful ingredients, high absorption rate.
3.Good graphitization can improve the molding capability of the original liquid iron. Nodular quantity will increase in the inoculation of nodular ductile iron, and increase graphite nucleation in liquid iron furnace. Refinement and uniform the distribution of graphite in the casting.
