♦The cassava harvester can harvest
 two rows cassava.

♦The harvesting machine can be 
attached to standard tractor with 
double power output device.
♦It is simple and comfortable 
operated, it can dig up all cassava 
roots and without damage.

Introduction 

♦Harvesting of the cassava was done at the 
various sites *5 months after planting  during the dry season, which is more favourable for 
mechanical cassava harvesting but quite the 
opposite for manual cassava harvesting. 

 ♦Mechanical harvesters would grab onto the 
stem and lift the roots from the ground

Notice

♦It is not advisable to harvest cassava right 
after a heavy rain or when the soil is too wet 
because at this time, the roots  have high water 
content which makes them difficultto store.

 ♦During the harvesting process, the cuttings for 
the next crop are selected. These are kept in a 
protected location to prevent desiccation.
