CLAYMINTON *4 Traditional Organoclay (Rheological additive)
CLAYMINTON *4 is one traditional organoclay which is modified with fine Bentonite and special chemicals. It is designed for medium to low polarity solvent based system. It is particularly suitable for coatings, inks, adhesives. CLAYMINTON *4performs outstanding thickening, anti-settling property, sag control and storage stability.
Advantages and Features
CLAYMINTON *4presents excellent thickening and dispersibility with good KU and Brookfield viscosities building. Meanwhile, it also provides significant sag control, pigment suspension with good flow property. It is recommended to long or medium alkyd paint, acrylic paint or other low polarity coatings or inks system.

• Pre-gel addition:It can be made into 8% pregel before using and then add the pregel into the mill base. The detailed procedure is

• Highly dispersing for 5**0 minutes

• Pigment&Filler
• Grinding or dispersing till desired fineness

• Resin/Solvent
• Leveling agent
• Paint mixing

• Direct addition：Directly add CLAYMINTON *4into the mill base as following procedure:

• Highly dispersing for 5**0 minutes
