Color:Heartwood is a reddish brown. Well defined sapwood is a pale yellowish white. Color tends to darken with age
Grain: Grain is interlocked with a uniform medium to coarse texture; naturally lustrous.
Workability: Easy to work with both hand and machine tools. Also has excellent finishing qualities.
Physical Properties: Fine pores, scattered and numerous. Texture is medium and uniform. This species is very high density, resulting in a very hard wood. It is a very durable wood and suitable for exterior use, even untreated. Excellent stability, with high bending strength qualities.
