ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) tests are generally relatively accurate tests. They are considered highly sensitive and specific and compare favorably with other methods used to detect substances in the body, such as radioimmune assay (RIA) tests.
Process to analyze samples with our ELISA kits: 1.  Obtain samples
Some sample pretreatment may be necessary for certain types of samples, see kit instructions. 2.  Analyze samples in ELISA according to detailed kit protocol
The kit contains all necessary reagents.
Additional materials that are required but not provided are listed in the kit instructions. 3.  Calculate concentration of analyte in sample
A calibration curve is prepared using a standard solution of the analyte supplied with the kit.
