Ferric chloride is known as a flocculant (FLOCK-u-lent).
Flocculants are chemicals that help make tiny particles clump
together so they can be removed from water. Even after large pieces
of debris are removed using filters, natural surface water still
may be full of tiny particles that are too small to sink.
Properties
1. The product is effective to purify the raw water with Al
exceeding 0.2mg/l, and can decrease the aluminum content. It has
the strong effect to eliminate COD, BOD and color degree for raw
water.
2. The product shows a good dewatering effect for the sewage, and
has wide-range adaptability to the raw water at different
temperatures and pH values.
3. It can lead to quick formation of flocs with big size and rapid
precipitation, which avoids flocs unsetting down during the winter
time, reduces the flush frequency for filtration tank.
4. It is an ideal product to treat waste water, and can reduce the
treatment cost by using it
