Kiwi fruit is one of the fruits most highly fortified with vitamin C. It has a sweet flavor that is similar to the taste of strawberries or melons. We have two kind of kiwi:
1) Green kiwi - Actinidia deliciosa, also known as Hayward kiwi, is the most commonly known variety of this fruit. It is large and oval shaped with fuzzy, brownish-green skin. The flesh of the fruit is an emerald green that has many tiny black seeds in the center. This species is very sweet in flavor.
2) Golden kiwi - Actinidia chinensis - Sorli has a smooth, bronze skin, with a beak shape at the stem attachment. Flesh color varies from bright green to a clear, intense yellow. This species is sweeter and more aromatic in flavor; the flavor is reminiscent of some subtropical fruit.
