MetalProm clamps markings

The dead-end optical cable clamp marking NSO-MDRNk-Dkmin/DkmaxP or PSO-MDRNk- Dkmin/DkmaxP consists of several symbolic (alphanumeric) groups:

• the first three symbols (the letters NSO) stand for helical dead-end clamp; the abbreviation PSO stands for supporting helical clamp;
• the next symbolic group (MDRNk) stands for maximum allowable cable tension load;
• the symbols Dkmin/Dkmax designate the cable (pipeline) diameter range in mm;
• the symbol P (if indicated) designates the presence of a protective device;

NSO**-Dmin/DmaxK helical dead-end clamps

Helical dead-end clamps of NSO **-Dmin/DmaxK type are used for mounting self-supporting optical cables on lighting poles, overhead line supports, overhead catenary posts at railways, on buildings and other structures.

A helical dead-end clamp is a U-shaped strand of several helical wires joined together via a special solution and covered with an abradant on the inside.

The protective device is a set of stranded helices joined together via a special solution and covered with an abradant on the inside.

The NSO**-Dmin/DmaxK set includes:

•  

  a thimble (if provided for a complete set);

•  

  a power helix Lc=******0 mm consisting of 5 adhered helices covered with an abradant

The NSO**-Dmin/DmaxK clamp marking

•  

  NSO helical dead-end clamp;

•  

  8 suited for cables of up to 8 kN total load.;

•  

  Dmin/Dmax   minimum/maximum optical cable diameter, mm;

•  

  К thimble (indicated last). It is possible to make a clamp without a thimble, in which case the letter K is not indicated in the marking.
