Smelting ore rod mill is a typically grinding equipment in mineral processing industry,  commonly used in metal or non-metal mine industry, at the same time, in water conservancy engineering department, building materials, chemical plant in the power sector and other industries. It is used for all kinds of ores and rocks.
There is grinding material medium—steel rods inside rod mill barrel and it is named from this.
The main working principle of rod mill is the cylinder using horizontal installation method, on the two large bearings, through the low speed rotation and all kinds of raw materials.
There is a certain amount of grinding medium of mine inside the rod mill cylinder . Friction force and the centrifugal force make these medium back and forth inside the cylinder reciprocating rotation ,to be promoted, ditching ,and drain. At this time from the feed port injection needs to be constantly grinding of raw materials. The material will be moving to bump ,crushing the grinding medium. Then shredded raw material discharge barrel with continuous feeding and this momentum to reach the next level operation process .
Rod mill was conducted by motor driven rotary . It relies mainly on the speed reducer and reducer around the big gear deceleration rotation ,or directly use the low speed synchronous motor through the large gear deceleration turning around.
Large rod mill are always equipped with a slow rotation device . When turning , maintenance or loose load , this device can make host reached 0.*5 RPM speed , and can be through the roof rotary department for maintenance .
