Scope

1.1Thisspecification covers two types of quenched and tempered, alloy steel, heavy hexstructural bolts having a tensile strength of **0 to **3 ksi. These bolts areintended for use in structural connections.

1.2Thevalues stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. No otherunits of measurement are included in this standard.

1.3The bolts are furnished in sizes ½ to 1½ in., inclusive. They are designated bytype denoting chemical composition as follows:
