Upper propane can be separated from oil field gas and cracking gas. It can be used as raw material for producing ethylene and propylene (C3H6) or as solvent in the refining industry; the mixture of propane, butane (C4H*0) and a small amount of ethane can be used as civil fuel after liquefaction, i.e. liquid fossil oil gas (LPG)
