The WNS is a traditional *-pass, wetback, horizontal firetube boiler that can be configured for either steam or hot water use. Options for the open protocol burner include firing on Gas, #2 Oil, or a combination of both in a dual fuel style burner. The operating efficiency of the WNS is up to *4%. ZG is able to manufacture standard or custom vessels to perform these tasks to ASME code or non-code, depending on the requirements in your area or system. Our auxiliary equipment is used to control the quality, pressure, storage capacity and enthalpy (heat content or temperature) of steam.
  Horizontal fire tube boiler design
Horizontal fire tube boilers may be defined as those boilers in which the heat transfer surfaces are all contained within a steel shell. horizontal fire tube boilers may also be referred to as 'shell tube' or 'smoke tube' boilers because the products of combustion pass through the boiler tubes, which in turn transfer heat to the surrounding boiler water.

The principle in the horizontal fire-tube boilers, is that from the surface of a large volume of feed water, steam is evaporated. This boiling process is heated by the wall of the combustion chamber (the radiant part) and by the exhaust gasses passing through a bundle of so-called fire-tubes or smoke-tubes forming the the convection part of the boiler.

Several different combinations of tube layout are used in fire tube boilers, involving the number of passes the heat from the boiler furnace will usefully make before being discharged.
