K-REACH Registration

K-REACH (The Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals of Korea) was formally implemented on January 1, ***5. It adopted the requirements of registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction which is similar to European REACH to manage the new chemical substances, existing chemical substances and downstream products. For outside of chemical supplies of Korea, the rule equally required the only representative (OR) of them in KOREA to complete the registration process.
K-REACH key points are:
Any person who manufacture· import· sell a new chemical substance or an existing chemical substance 1 ton or more per year shall report the use of the substance and the volume, etc. every year to the Minister of Environment;
Any person who intends to manufacture · import a new chemical substance or an existing chemical subject to registration at 1 ton or more per year shall register such chemical substances prior to manufacturing · importation.
