Prostatitis is a widely spread disease. Various ways of its treatment can be found in literature. The problem is urgent since about *0% of adult males note manifestation of this disease at some point in their lives. The delay in medical consultation may lead to the development of a chronic ailment. Chronic prostatitis is associated with symptoms of various degree of intensity and is often complicated by impotency, male sterility and associated psychological problems.

Complex therapy is used for the treatment of chronic prostatitis. This includes antibiotics, medicinal preparations eliminating urination dysfunction, anti-inflammatory drugs and medicines improving microcirculation. In addition, physiotherapeutic techniques are used: thermal procedures (microclysters), massage, laser and magnetic exposure. The difficulty that arises when treating prostatitis is associated with the direct delivery of treatment to the affected organ.

The MAVIT device is designed to help urologists with treatment.
