The advantages of KAOPOZZTM is as follows:

KAOPOZZTM is as white as white Portland cement, it can improve the performance at the same time makes products more delicate.

The mechanism ofKAOPOZZTM

The water react with Portland cement and produce hydration calcium silicate(CSH), meantime it produce the outgrowth*-calcium hydroxide (lime) whose amount can take up ****5% of cement weight after hydrating. The lime is not only helpful to the performance of concrete and mortar, but harmful. WhenKAOPOZZTMis mixed into concrete and mortar, it can react with dissociative lime and create new colloidal material(see formula below) so as to make the intensity of concrete and mortar more strong and perdurable, meantime reduce and eliminate a series of problems such as: efflorescence, penetration which is caused by lime. KAOPOZZTM can react with lime whose weight is 1.6 times max.

KAOPOZZTMhas the ability of fast reaction with lime. High reactive metakaolin can finish the reaction with calcium hydroxide in the concrete in *4 days under the condition of filler amount is *0% according to the research by Larbi and Jones, etc.

KAOPOZZTMis of fast and efficient reaction with lime, there are two ways to control efforescence as follows:

1.                fast reaction with calcium hydroxide whose content can de reduced, meanwhile slower the absorb of CO2 so as to prevent the formation calcium carbonate deposit.

2.                Improve the compactness of concrete and mortar with smaller orifice from which the water can’t easily flow out and in so as to make it difficult that calcium hydroxide moves to the surface of concrete and mortar.
