Fresh production
1) Plant and processing equipment used in the manufacture of the
above named dry milk products shall be maintained in a strict
sanitary condition and shall comply in every respect with the
latest edition of ADMI.
2)
The dry milk product shall be reasonable uniform in composition.
The color shall be white or cream and free from a brown or yellow
color typical of overheated product and free from any other
unnatural color. It shall be substantially free from brown
specks.
3)
The flavor and odor of the dry milk product in the dry form or on
reliquification shall be sweet, clean and free from rancid tallowy,
fishy, cheesy or soapy.
4)
The dry milk product shall be packed in substantial containers,
suitable to protect and preserve the moisture content under various
customary conditions of handling, transportation and storage.
