Advantages of Zeolite for pool water treatment in
comparison to sand:
-More effective physical retention of impurities by zeolite
particles in comparison to sand,
-Which is heavier and clogs up easily,
-The frequency of filter cleaning is reduced by *0 %, which saves
the amount of energy and water required for rinsing,
-The extremely large surface area of the mineral adsorbs
pollutants

prevents the formation of algae, captures ammonia from fish
excretions. Used as a substitute for silica sand by mechanical
water treatment and ponds filtration, in combination with other
materials, such as coagulation multilayer filter inset for the
effect of reducing ammonium in mixing the aggregate coagulation
treatment of water.
Ion selective process with the use of natural clinoptilolite is
economically comparable to the classification of biological
nitrification denitrification. Its advantages in comparison with
biological method based is the user-friendly climate in and by
sparing garnishment, and others.
Benefits of using Clinoptilolite Zeolite medium in
biopools:
If natural swimming biopool / ponds filtration is based solely on
using water plant properties it requires *0 % of the pool area with

Clinoptilolite helps maintain a high water quality in ponds owing
to its porosity and adsorbing surface properties. Zeolite using for
ponds filtration is an excellent ion-exchanger which releases Mg,
Ca, and K ions into water and attracts NH4 ions. Zeolite is also
utilised in planting filtration plants, i.e. it adsorbs nitrates
and other harmful substances from water. It is recommended that the
medium be replaced after 2 years, although it may function as a
place of residence for nitrification bacteria that provide
biological ponds filtration. The best practice is replacing the
medium in spring when activating biological filtration. Pond
cleanness is ensured by: zeolite layers Zeolite, plants, fish,
filtration systems pumps and skimmers or nets.
