Suction rolls are generally used in wire section and press section of paper machine, like couch roll,  pick-up roll and press roll, touching roll, forming roll and so on.

The Suction Roll:
Suction rolls are generally used in wire section and press section of paper machine, like suction touch roll, suction pick-up roll, suction press roll, returning roll, couch roll, felt roll ,suction cylinder and so on.
 
●Suction breast rolls: used to form the sheet on lightweight paper
●Suction couch rolls: used to remove the water from the sheet. This suction roll is also sometimes used to join multiple ply sheets.
●Suction pick-up roll: used to transfer the sheet from surface to surface, usually from the forming fabric to the felt.
●Suction press rolls: most often used to extract water away from the nip and towards the felt
