Solubility: soluble in *8ml water. soluble in ethanol, glycerin, glycol, methanamide. insoluble in acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ether and petroleum ether etc.

Properties: White crystal powder without any visible foreign matters.slightlysoluted in alcohol, dissolvable in benzene, ether and petroleum ether etc., Esters will be formed by reaction with common organic acid; no reaction take place when it is heated with dilute caustic solution.

Useage :Pentaerythritol is mainly used for short, medium and long oil alkyd resins, tall oils. It also can be used as follows: 

manufacturing plastifiers that of hot and cold resistance and without poison, additive agent of lubricant, emulsifyingagent, 

petroleum anti-freeing agent, stabilizing agent of polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyether, fire resistance painting and printing ink.
