Earn your Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification by passing a performance-based test that measures actual competency on live systems. Called the "crown jewel of Linux certifications," RHCE certification proves your ability to configure networking services and security on servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux. A prerequisite for Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification, the RHCE is a mid-level certification for administrators who support Linux as a primary server platform in their environment. You must have your RHCSA certification before testing for your RHCE certification.

To earn RHCE certification, you must demonstrate the skills required to successfully administer Linux. The 3.*-hour hands-on RHCE exam is performance-based, meaning that you must perform tasks on a live system rather than answering multiple-choice questions. The RHCE exam can be bundled with a class or purchased separately (EX**0). Individual Exam Sessions are also available (EX**0K), providing you the flexibility to take the exam on a preferred date and time.
