M/S Al Mahd International (AMI) was founded by Mr. Syed Mazhar Hussain Gillani in ***0. The name of the firm was based on the goodwill and reputation of the founder and chairman of the Al Mahd Group Mr. Syed Mazhar Hussain Gillani had earned initially dealing as a commodity importer and trader.

Initially, AMI had a swift start with imports of commodities such as spices, cardamom, beetle nuts, cashew nuts, and rice to cater local market of Dubai and Iran with the name of Al Mahd General Trading Company. Since ***6s, AMI owns major stakes in the industry and is considered highly renowned and reputed for its quality products and commitments, AMI now turned into one of the leading commodity trading houses of Dubai and Iran.

During this, AMI won a best importer award in Dubai for importing *0,**0 Metric Tons of rice in a year. decade, AMI decided to discover new horizons by expanding its operations in commodity and start its own reprocessing and exports to major International Markets. For this purpose, Al Mahd has established its reprocessing unit in Karachi. AMI Rice Reprocessing Unit is situated in Karachi S.I.T.E area with state of the art technology (Buhler German) and machinery used to process cargoes from initial stages of procurement till the final stages of packing and loading.
