Rota-adeno stick and cassette is a rapid, qualitative, chromatographic immunoassay which simultaneously detects rotaviruses and adenoviruses in stool specimens. Rotavirus is the primary causative agent of acute gastro-enteritis, especially in children less than 2 years old. Its discovery in ***3 and its association with infantile gastro-enteritis represented a very important advance in the study of gastro-enteritis not caused by acute bacterial infection.
