A sand suction pump is a device used to absorb sediment and suspended particles from underwater or sediment. It is mainly composed of pump body, hydraulic system, inlet funnel, discharge pipe and sand suction pipe.
The working principle is as follows:
1. Hydraulic system: The hydraulic system of the sand pump provides the required power. Through the hydraulic pump, the oil in the hydraulic cylinder is pushed to the hydraulic motor and transmitted to the pump body of the sand suction pump.
2. Inlet funnel and sand suction pipe: The inlet funnel of the sand suction pump is used to collect sand and waste, and guide it to the sand suction pipe. One end of the suction pipe is connected to the funnel, and the other end is connected to the suction chamber of the pump body.
3. Pump body: The pump body is the core component of the sand suction pump, responsible for absorbing and transporting sediment. There are a series of impellers and blades inside the pump body, and when the hydraulic motor provides power, the impellers begin to rotate, and the pressure inside the pump is reduced, thus forming a vacuum area.
4. Sand suction: When the pressure in the pump body is lower than the surrounding water body, the water and sediment enter the sand suction chamber of the pump body through the sand suction pipe. The rotary force of the hydraulic motor then pushes sediment and suspended particles into the discharge pipe.
5. Discharge: The pump body pushes sediment and particulate matter into the discharge pipe, which is discharged to the designated place through the pipe. Discharge pipes are usually designed with a curved or adjustable Angle to allow flexibility in the direction of discharge.
By repeating this cycle over and over again, sand pumps can effectively suck up and transport sediment for applications such as riverbed dredging, solid waste disposal, mud handling and construction sites.
