Mica flakes is used principally in the electronic and electrical industries. Its usefulness in these applications is derived from its unique electrical and thermal insulating properties and its mechanical properties, which allow it to be cut, punched, stamped, and machined to close tolerances. The leading use of block mica is as an electrical insulator in electronic equipment. High-quality block mica is processed to line the gauge glasses of high-pressure steam boilers because of its flexibility, transparency, and resistance to heat and chemical attack. Only high-quality muscovite film mica, which is variously called India ruby mica or ruby muscovite mica, is used as a dielectric in capacitors. The highest quality mica film is used to manufacture capacitors for calibration standards. The next lower grade is used in transmitting capacitors. Receiving capacitors use a slightly lower grade of high-quality muscovite.

Mica sheets are used to provide structure for heating wire (such as in Kanthal or Nichrome) in heating elements and can withstand up to **0 °C (1,**0 °F).

Mica broken is mica fragments and mica pieces,  in the mining, ore, processing generated in the process. It is the raw materials of mica paper and grinding mica powder.

Mica broken which is used in paint can reduce the damage to the paint film come from UV or other light and heat, increase the coating acid, alkali and electrical insulation properties, make the coating bright and beautiful, improve coating durability, frost  permeability of the coating to prevent spots and cracks, but also to prevent the paint deposition. Mica powder can be as some raw materials instead of paint, can reduce costs, is an important anti-corrosion coating of first choice packing.
      Mica broken has function of seal, as the well drilling mud additives. Mica powder can rainproof and keep warm, have  the heat insulation and decorative effect, if is used in roofing materials.
Mica powder and the mineral wool resin, paint mixing, do concrete, stone, brick exterior of the decorative effect.
      Mica broken can be used for linoleum, pipe mortar, cementing agent; making decorative coatings, acoustic plaster, ceiling and concrete filler; is the filler of lubricant, release agent, high strength and heat insulation, acid and alkali products in rubber products.
