Silicon Nitride (Silicon + Nitride Si3N4)
Silicon Nitride is the combination of Silicon and Nitride with chemical formula as; Si3N4. Silicon Nitride has very good synthetical properties as; 
Outstanding crack resistance
Not wetted by many metal and alloys and electrically insulating. 
Good heat conductivity
Extremely high strength
Excellent thermal shock capability (ie; cycles from rt to **0°c in 7 seconds and repeated every *0 seconds)
Very low heat expansion
Excellent wear and chemical resistance
Materials offer better physical properties suitable for more demanding applications. Typical Applications include:
Molten metal handling (including crucible / wear plates)
