Slack waxes that contain a relatively high percentage of normal paraffins; this promotes the formation of large wax crystals and helps contribute to hard surface coatings with good water repellant characteristics. Also a low melting point wax, but with a lower normal paraffin content that tends to promote softer and more flexible coatings. The light colour and nonstaining properties of all these waxes make them suitable for use as electrical insulators for cables, wires, and paper coatings and as waterproofing agents in the textile industry. Because these waxes are relatively low in molecular weight, they are not recommended for use in high temperature applications., these macro crystalline waxes may affect the quality of painted surfaces by hindering the evaporation of solvents and other volatile components. These low melt products can also be used as feed stocks for the manufacture of fully refined  paraffin wax.

 

It is an intermediate molecular weight product that is blended specifically for use in the manufacture of composite wood panels such as Orientated trand Board (OSB), Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and Hardboard. It has good waterproofing characteristics and is suitable for use over a wide range of operating temperatures. As a blended product, it has a wide molecular weight range which tends to promote the formation of smaller crystals on cooling; this results in a more ductile surface coating which helps improve its sealing properties and provides for a better surface finish.
