Ultrahard wearable and high-temperature and corrosion resistant Spray wires

We adopt the advanced technologies and equipments introduced from TAFA in America to produce our spray wires.

1.SX***1 ultrahard wearablespray wire

Application: SX***1 is a kind of tubular ultrahard nanometer-powder spray wire. It fully exerts the special effect of nanometer-powder so as to gain a superhard and ultrawear-resistent coating that reaches the targeted indexes.

Main ingredients

Chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), boron (B) and Cr3C2 hard ceromics

Microstructure of SX***1 spray coating

The mixture of Cr3C2 and its resultant product during spraying acts as framework of the coating structure. NiCrB which have good ductility and corrosion resistance acts as the carrier of the hard particle mixture. The hard particle mixture evenly inlays into the NiCrB carrier to form a good coating.

SX***0 wearable performance

The hard particle mixture of Cr3C2 and its resultant product during spraying has good wearing resistant ability as the carbide of Cr has high hardness.

SX***1 ductility performance

The carbide of Cr has high hardness but its coefficient of thermal expansion differs greatly with the substrate. So there’s a need that carrier should have good ductility, in other words, it should have similar coefficient of thermal expansion as to the substrate. The NiCrB carrier and the rendering transition guarantee good ductility so that coating won’t break while temperature changes.

SX***1 anti-corrosion performance

NiCr has good anti-corrosion to protect the hard particles from falling off the carrier and the coating from losing effectiveness while functioning in corrosive environment.

2. SX***1 high-temperature and corrosion resistant powder-cored spray wire

Typical application: when power generating boiler functions, the masses of gases such as SO2 and H2S and so on produced from high-sulphur coal burning will generate free-stuff sulphur atom in the high temperature environment. The free-stuff sulphur atom then reacts with the heating surface of the boiler and produces high-temperature corrosive sulphides such as FeS. The FeS will not protect the boiler surface for its porous and loosen structure. The SX***1 high-temperature and corrosion resistant powder-cored spray wire is developed by the researchers from our company and TAFA and made through nano-coacervating technology.

Ni, Cr, Ti

The effect of Ni in coating

Ni has stable cubic structure and good ductility that makes the coating having nearly the same heat expansion coefficient with boiler tube.

The effect of Cr in coating

Cr can improve the anti-sulfurizing performance of Ni-Cr alloy, and the Cr2O3 protection surface has good wearable ability.

The effect of Ti in coating

Ti can improve the bond strength of coating and it can form a spinel type structure along with Cr and Oxygen.
