The Sunshine Beedies is based in West Bengal, India, and was founded by Mr. M. Mistry in the year ***0 at Barrackpore, Kolkata. The company was headed by the founder till ***2 and later by Mr. Raju Mistry as the chairman and managing director of the company. He was heading the company till Now. The company is famous for its brand of Beedies known as surja beedies.        

 The Sunshine Beedies rolls out over 6 million beedies a day. The company employs more than ***0 employees directly and an equal number indirectly. Starting from a little shop in Barrackpore in North *4 Parganas District, the company now has a pan-India presence. The company also exports its products to over countries & has won numerous awards & recognitions for its sterling record.      

This team of executives is ever vigilant in the selection of tendu leaves and tobacco, processing of tobacco, the rolling of beedies and above all in the quality control of the product. As a team they look after the day to day management of the Company.A separate export division caters to the export market. The division has the additional responsibility of manufacture of special beedies meant for export, their packaging & onward transportation. Transportation is the mainstay of the industry. Tendu leaves are required to be transported from the States of Madhya Pradesh and Orissa,and Tobacco from Nippani in North Karnataka and state of Gujarath to the manufacturing centers spread all over the State of  west bengal. Again, finished beedies are to be transported to far flung areas of the Country.
