Tinted glass are colored glass in its mass by incorporating metal oxides. This line of crystals is produced in delicate Bronze, Gray and Green tones. Its use in windows, integral facades and glazed ceilings allows reducing the transmission of radiant solar heat and reducing the inconvenience of excessive luminosity, without significantly affecting the entry of natural light.

TINTED GLASS are high performance color glasses that owe their excellent properties to the intensity of the color used in their composition, which allows to obtain an excellent degree of solar control without resorting to the application of reflective coatings. Compared to traditional Float tones, the serious high-performance glasses have a lower shadow coefficient and high rates of visible light transmission. Both options in green are the ones that have the best Visible Light / Solar Factor (Selectivity) ratio among the entire range of tinted glass. The product, on the other hand, decreases the transmission of infrared solar heat to very low values, drastically reducing the% of light transmission and the consequent discomfort caused by solar glare.
 

Benefits

By decreasing the amount of heat transmitted through the glass, they reduce energy consumption by cooling and improve thermal comfort.

Compared to a colorless glass, they provide a noticeable improvement in the solar control of a window with relatively low cost.

They are ideal for residential buildings because of their low reflectivity (except the grey).

Because they do not have reflective coatings, they do not significantly affect visuals through glass.

Processing and Installation

They can be tempered, thermosetted, curved, screen printed, opacified, laminated, used in IGU panels, etc. Combined in IGU with colorless low emissivity glasses (Low-E) on its inner face, they improve the thermal insulation of the window (lower K factor).

When used in enclosures exposed to intense solar radiation, raw tonalized glass is susceptible to thermal stress breakage.
