wolframite tungsten beneficiation
Wolframite tungsten beneficiation covers pre-enrichment, gravity separation, fine-mud treatment. The following is the flow sheet and the plants for the black tungsten beneficiation from Gongyi Forui Machinery Factory.
1) pre-enrichment
Most wolframite tungsten mines are of ore dilution rate over *0%. It is very important to remove the waste stone before gravity separation. In China, wolframite tungsten factories classify the ore and remove the large block waste by hand because the gangues with ore and the non-ore stone is easy to separate, and their colors are different. The pre-enrichment methods of wolframite tungsten can also be heavy medium beneficiation and light-electric separation.
2) gravity separation
The beneficiation method for wolframite tungsten is gravity separation because density of wolframite tungsten is big, and gravity separation can easily remove the other materials whose density is below 3.**4, especially for the quartz vein wolframite tungsten. This gravity separation is much more suitable for the coarse tungsten because wolframite tungsten is of large crystals.
Jiggers and shaking tables are the plants commonly used in wolframite tungsten gravity separation for the coarse & medium embedded tungsten. Screening & classifying is needed before jigging beneficiation. Jigger is usually put into the milling phrase to reduce the pelitization of the tungsten and to recover the liberated tungsten. The tungsten concentrate enriched by jigger accounts over *5% of all concentrate recovered,
Shaking table is mainly used for the ore below 1mm with its high enrichment rate. Strict classifying is necessary before the beneficiation to gain good separation efficiency. Water classifier is used to classify in the beneficiation factories.
3) fine-mud treatment
Tungsten is crisp and easy to form mud. in China, the Secondary fine mud accounts *0% of the raw ore with the tungsten over *4%. The grade of the mud is usually higher than raw ore, and it is the material hard to separate.
Wolframite tungsten mud needs floatation separation, and there are lots of researches about this and after lots of trial and error, branch streaming flotation & branch speed selected &  concentrate inflatable mixing is recommended to improve the floatation efficiency.
The new-designed wet magnetic separator is also used to beneficiate the tungsten ore.
In sum, the processing flow sheet is as follows: crushing the raw ore*-pre-enriching to remove coarse waste stones*-screening & three-jigging to recover coarse concentrate*-jigging & milling & shaking table for the tailings to remove the tailings*-milling & separation for middle ore*-treating alone for the mid. Multi-method beneficiation can not only improve the concentrate grade, but also recover the vice-product.
