Antoni Pons Avarcas in Menorca, Spain, is a family run business which makes avarcas, typical Menorcan sandals. The basic style of the shoe remains the same but the variety of colours, patterns and sizes makes the sandals very popular with men, women and children. The many summer visitors to the island always take a pair home with them as they like the originality and comfort of the sandals. The upper is made from leather and the outer sole is made from tyre rubber so the sandals are tough and long lasting.
