TOPRO BW ***0 series thermal protectorsadopt bimetal discs that bend with the temperature changes as the temperature sensing element. Without other auxiliary structures, only by the temperature sensing ability of the bimetal disc itself and the electrical heat effect, when the ambient temperature rises to the preset operating temperature, the bimetal disc snaps quickly to break the circuit automatically. When the electrical appliance is cooled down to the reset temperature, the bimetal disc bends back to connect the circuit, thus protecting the electrical appliance from overheat and overload.

TOPRO BW ***0 series thermal protectors are featured by advanced bimetal disc structure, miniature size, snap action, large contact capacity, and long service life. They are widely used for overheat and overcurrent protection in various electric motors, electromagnetic oven, vacuum cleaner, air conditioner motor, solenoid, transformer, electrical heater, electrical heating appliances, fluorescent ballasts, automobile motors, integrated circuits and common electrical appliances.

Function:

This thermostat will cut off the circuit automatically in case of overload or overheat.

TOPRO BW***0 series thermal protectors use the same snap-action principle of KLIXON protectors. The bimetal disc senses the heat from the equipment which the protector is installed on. When the temperature of the disc reaches a predetermined calibration point, the disc snaps open the contacts, thus breaking the current path. When the equipment returns to a normal operating range, the protector resets (closes circuit) automatically.

 

Notes:

Wire leads of various specs and lengths are at choice as per customer requirements.

A Mylar tube is recommended on the metal shell type to prevent short circuit between the thermal protector metal case and the motor coil or other metal objects.
