Bulk ship loader is a continuous loading and unloading machine connected with the rear feeding conveyor system for bulk cargo loading operations. According to the structural characteristics and operation mode of the whole machine, it can be divided into three categories: fixed, mobile and swing. Various types of ship loaders are mainly composed of onboard conveyors, loading chutes, working mechanisms (such as boom telescopic, pitching, rotation and whole machine walking mechanisms) and metal structures, drives, control systems, etc. The working principle of bulk ship loader is relatively simple: the materials on the dock feeding conveyor are transferred to the onboard conveyor through the funnel on the ship loader, and the onboard conveyor transports the materials to the chute at the end of the boom, and then the chute is dropped and loaded onto the ship. In order to reduce dust during loading operations, the chute is usually designed to be retractable.
When designing the loading capacity of bulk ship loader, it is generally matched with the capacity of the rear feeding conveyor. At the same time, it is necessary to consider parameters such as ship size and material characteristics. The loading capacity ranges from hundreds of tons to thousands of tons per hour.
Mobile ship loaders bring efficiency and flexibility when loading and unloading bulk carriers. At the port or terminal, the unloading truck can directly unload and load the ship without the need for another dump truck to stack the material.
