Cs2LiYCl6:Ce (clyc) crystal is a promising gamma neutron detection scintillation crystal, not only of gamma measurement with high light output (20000 photons / MeV.. accordingly), fast decay (1 ns), high energy resolution (5%137Cs source) and the gamma energy response linear (~1%), but also has high light output (70000 photon and neutron) and high alpha / beta ratio ~0.61 for thermal neutron measurements, has good neutron gamma ray discrimination ability. It has important application prospects in basic research, safety inspection, oil well detection, environmental monitoring and nuclear imaging and medical treatment.
