The CO2 Engineered tanks are designed for long-term storage of
liquefied carbon dioxide. Engineered tanks are available in
vertical or horizontal arrangement with a conventional PUR
insulating material. The sealed cladding is made from aluminium
which protects the insulation against mechanical damage and any
moisture penetrating into the insulation. The CO2 engineered tanks
are tailor made according to customer requirements.
The tank capacities range between 60 tons and 300 tons with maximum
allowable working pressure up to 24 bars. Engineered tanks can be
supplied with ambient type of vaporizers, pipelines and other
cryogenic components for a complete installation. The
conventionally insulated vessels are equipped with safety valves,
heaters, load-cell, weighing systems and refrigeration units,
condensing the boil off gas originated from heat accumulation. The
tanks are equipped with dual relief valves to prevent the
possibility of excess pressure risk. Although CO2 Engineered Tanks
are based on a standard design, they can be customized as per
specific application and requirements. The tanks are designed
according to Directive 97/23/EC, using the standards AD 2000M and
EN 13458. Engineered tanks according to ASME are also
provided.
