Features:
This experimental system of continuous-wave nuclear magnetic resonance (CW-NMR) consists of a high homogeneity magnet and a main machine unit. A permanent magnet is used to provide a primary magnetic field to which an adjustable electromagnetic field, generated by a pair of coils, is superposed to allow a fine adjustment to the total magnetic field and to compensate magnetic field fluctuations caused by temperature variations. As only small magnetizing current is needed for relatively low electromagnetic field, the heating problem of the system is minimized. Thus, the system can be operated continuously for several hours. It is an ideal experimental instrument for advanced physics laboratories.
Using this instrument, the following experiments can be performed:
1. Observe NMR phenomenon of H- and F-nuclei.
2. Determine parameters of gyromagnetic ratio, g-factor and nuclear magnetic moment.
3. Observe the influence of magnetic field homogeneity on signal coda wave using different samples.
4. Measure magnetic field, and learn how to calibrate Teslameter
through NMR method.
