Wave buoy is a kind of common ocean monitoring equipment, which has the advantages of unattended and automatic measurement, and is widely used in various ocean monitoring stations. It can be fixed point, timing, continuous, accurate measurement of wave height, period, swell, wave spectrum and other wave elements, while observing other hydrological, meteorological and water quality and other elements according to demand.

MOTUS (Latin, meaning mobile) wave spectrum buoy system is based on SB138P buoy body as the carrier, equipped with Motus wave sensor, wave, water quality, hydrology, meteorology and other environmental monitoring instruments and sensors, combined with modern control technology, communication technology and other advanced means to obtain a complete wave spectrum observation system.

The MOTUS buoy can effectively monitor a wide range of hydrological and meteorological parameters, while extending ocean currents, water quality and other parameters. The above data can be controlled and synchronized by the data management system provided by Thalmer Analytical Instruments, which also has two-way control and real-time communication capabilities. Monitoring data can be wirelessly transmitted to a remote server through 4G communication for data viewing and analysis, forming a low-power and efficient system with long-term deployment capability.

The measurement parameters include:
