Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is a selective cox-2 inhibitor with an
IC50 value of 25.8 mu.It is a widely used antipyretic and

painkiller.

The role
of paracetamol

This product is an antipyretic and analgesic drug. By inhibiting
cox-oxidase, it selectively inhibits the synthesis of

hypothalamic thermoregulatory central prostaggenin, resulting in
peripheral blood vessels dilating and sweating to achieve

antipyretic effect. The antipyretic effect is similar to that of
aspirin.By inhibiting the synthesis and release of
prostaglandins

and so on, it can improve the pain threshold and play an analgesic
effect. It is a peripheral analgesic drug with weaker
effect

than aspirin and only effective for mild and moderate pain.This
product has no obvious anti-inflammatory effect.
