In the ***0s, Charles and Ray Eames began experimenting with
wood-molding techniques that used thin sheets of wood veneer to
construct a wide range of shapes. Those experiments have had a
profound effect on the world of design, giving way to the Plywood
Lounge Chair, LCW (***5).

Special edition LCW veneer is made from palisander, a
rosewood.
