The injection control strategy and injection timing is calibrated using a look up table that is function of RPM and gasoline injection timing. The gas pressure in the rail and the temperature information is used to modify injection timing calculates by the main look up table. The coolant temperature information (coolant temperature sensor is installed upstream of the pressure regulator) is used to switch from gasoline to LPG/CNG in start up phase. Above mentioned switch is also controlled by a delay time from the start up and a minimum rpm threshold. The LPG/CNG system also includes diagnostics strategies and manage the automatic switch into gasoline mode in case of fault detections.
